Amiga 500
In 1987 the Amiga 500 was launched to the UK public. It was basically a more portable version of the Amiga 1000 but featured 512k RAM and could be used through the television instead of just a monitor.
The included operating system was Workbench 1.3 and featured a mouse-controlled, windowed environment that also had real-time multi-tasking. The Amiga 500 was then replaced by the Amiga 500+, which featured 1MB of RAM and a new version of Kickstart (the Boot O/S) and Workbench v2.04.
